Homage to Sol LeWitt

Sol LeWitt was a wonderful artist.  I recently had the pleasure of seeing a large installation of his at the Dia:Beacon, a great modern art gallery that is a short train ride from NYC.  I highly recommend it, even if you don’t think you like modern, conceptual art.  It is amazing, and the Sol LeWitt exhibit was beautiful and subtile.

Homage to Sol LeWitt iPad cover.

I hope that Sol LeWitt doesn’t roll over in his grave, but I was inspired to create a design on an iPad cover from his work.  Compared to LeWitt’s work, this is clearly a bit like trying to make a silk purse from a sow’s ear, but I enjoyed making it.  It should fit iPad 2 or iPad 3 and will soon be available at the Artisans’ Guild Gallery.
