A Kindle Fire case to round out 2011

Back of Kindle Fire Case

I’ve had some requests for a Kindle Fire case, and the holiday break finally allowed time to work on it.  It is smaller and simpler than my iPad 2 cases, and I like the way it feels to hold and use.  I started by making a wooden form of a Kindle Fire (thanks to Spencer for the use of his Kindle!).  The back is wetted, formed over the wood, and allowed to dry.  Then the front face piece and inside flap are added, and the entire thing is hand sewn and finished.   Like my iPad 2 cases, the Kindle Fire case is a snug fit to prevent it from falling out.  It will break into the device and your hand over time.

Happy New Year!
